Matthias had the idea of trying a night ride. So with Sommer solstice (Sommersonnenwende) being the longest day of the year it obviously is also the shortest night 🤷🏼♂️ So the date for the tour was decided!
We took the train after work on Wednesday to Frankfurt and had the tour planned back home with a little detour to cover the night in duration. Next to declaring me crazy my wife agreed on one term!! You have to be back to bring the kids to school.
Alright. The alarm rings at 6:22 am. Doable 🙌
Since we both never had driven a full night we took much too much lights and batteries along. Yet being stuck in now where without was something we did not want to risk. Still absolutely pleased with the Lezyne (400 and 800) lights! They are really really good for situations like these.
